Sabah Deadly Sea Offshore Work

7 November 2009 8 Comments

My sister who worked at the offshore platform in Sabah, Malaysia, gave me these eyes-opening photos. Sorry about the quality because the photos were taken by her cell phone camera. At first, I’m kind of very shock, mouth-opening after saw these photos. It is very scary! I can’t imagine I worked on those kinds of work environment. For your information, the salary of my sister and those around her is only about RM36000 per year (about USD12000) and in my opinion, it is not worth her life. In positive side, I’m just grateful I’m working at the peaceful office with fully air-conditioning work space. I hope you will be grateful too.

wow! The last one looks as if the ship is sinking! I agree that RM3000/month is not a lot for difficult circumstances like that.
