Getting to La Tania

La Tania is part of the famous Les Trois Vallees ski area with Courchevel and Meribel. The resort has one of the lowest altitudes at 1400m but still keeps good snow cover because of its north facing aspect.

A 12 person gondola services two ski lifts giving you access to the valley of your choice – Meribel or Courchevel, and thereby the whole of Les Trois Vallées area. Returning to Le Tania there are three pistes, one each of red, green, and blue, winding back down through the forest. Snow making cannons ensure this access is always open down to the lower altitude the entire season. There is also a beginners’ drag lift operating throughout the season free of charge, to make a practise run or two to warm up.

La Tania Village Resort

In consideration of the pristine alpine environment, is that La Tania is a pedestrian town giving it an extra bonus for calm and serenity. Vehicles are parked free of charge during any stay in the town, winter or summer. With a traffic free area you can safely ski to the lift, ski home, to the shops and to your favourite restaurant.

Choice of food is usually never a problem in France, and La Tania is no exception. Despite La Tania being relatively small you can find anything from quick snacks like sandwiches, panini and pizza through to local specialties of the Savoyard region. Le Farçon is the place for fine dining with one Michelin star award. Yet despite, its prestigious name for gourmet cuisine, you can enjoy reasonable prices with set menus and three course lunches.

And of course there are a few lively pubs and bars for après ski entertainment with live music and late night social events. With a short break you will likely spend most of you energy on the slopes however there are other facilities available like ten pin bowling, ice-karting, an indoor climbing wall, and dog sledding teams if you want more physical action.

La Tania only offers basic shopping but enough to cover the necessities like ski hire, tourist information, bakery, supermarket, lift passes and such like.
